Our trip to Disney
A Magical Family Vacation: Our Disney Adventure Staying in a Nearby Villa
Last summer, our family decided to plan a trip to Disney, but we wanted to make it a memorable experience by inviting our relatives to join us. It all began with a simple phone call to my sister and brother-in-law. We talked about how much fun it would be for our kids to experience the magic of Disney together, and after a few back-and-forth conversations, we finally settled on dates that worked for all three families. The excitement in the kids' voices when we told them the news was infectious!
Once we had our dates confirmed, the next big task was finding a place to stay. We wanted something that would accommodate all of us comfortably but also give us the chance to spend quality time together. After some research, I stumbled upon a beautiful villa rental located just 10 minutes from Disney. The pictures looked amazing – multiple bedrooms, a large living area, and even a private pool! It seemed perfect, so we quickly booked it, knowing it would be ideal for our needs.
One of the best parts of this trip was how affordable it became once we decided to split the cost of the villa among the three families. Compared to the price of individual hotel rooms, this option was much more economical, and we loved the idea of all staying under one roof. It made the planning process smoother, and we all felt good knowing that our money was being well spent.
When the day of our trip finally arrived, we packed up our cars and headed to Florida. The drive was filled with anticipation, and when we finally pulled up to the villa, it did not disappoint. The kids were ecstatic to see the pool, and we were equally pleased with the spacious kitchen and comfortable living areas. We unpacked and quickly made ourselves at home, feeling like we had found the perfect base for our Disney adventure.
Over the next week, the villa became the heart of our trip. We started each day with breakfast together, with each family taking turns in the kitchen. The mornings were filled with laughter, as the kids excitedly planned out which Disney parks and attractions they wanted to visit that day. Being just 10 minutes away from Disney meant we could take our time and enjoy leisurely mornings before heading out to the parks.
Each day at Disney was more magical than the last. We spent hours exploring the parks, meeting characters, and going on rides. Knowing we had the villa to return to at the end of the day made the experience even better. After long days filled with adventure, it was wonderful to come back to a place that felt like home. The kids would jump into the pool, while the adults relaxed and reminisced about the day’s highlights.
One evening, after a particularly fun day at Magic Kingdom, we decided to have a family dinner together at the villa. We gathered around the large dining table, sharing stories and laughing about our favorite moments. Cooking together in the villa’s kitchen added a special touch to the trip, making it feel more like a family reunion than just a vacation.
As our trip came to an end, we couldn’t help but reflect on how special the experience had been. Staying in the villa had allowed us to create memories that would last a lifetime. The kids had grown closer to their cousins, and we, as adults, had cherished the time spent together. The convenience of being so close to Disney, combined with the comfort and affordability of the villa, made this trip one of our best yet.
On the drive back home, we talked about how we could make this a tradition – gathering our families for future vacations where we could all stay together, share the costs, and make more magical memories. For anyone planning a trip to Disney, I can’t recommend enough the experience of staying in a villa. It’s the perfect way to enjoy the parks while also having a comfortable, home-like place to return to each night.
